      asciimike Superhuman gmail Great writeup. I agree that GitHub probably has the plan to put gh in the foreground and git in the background. And they indeed already have "extended the standard" by building features into GH (e.g. Issues).

    asciimike Superhuman gmail My bet is that Superhuman-to-SH only features will only be for non critical features, or with fallbacks for non SH clients. Doing otherwise would require control of majority of email clients, which will likely never happen (added value doesn't seem enough for masses to switch)
